Day One Hundred Forty Eight ~ Sunflower Sunday

Sunday morning with friends… at the Valley of the Sunflowers… such an inspired project/concept and so beautiful as well.  A two acre vacant lot in downtown transformed into a sunflower field.  The seeds will be harvested and used to create biodiesel fuel… Find out more about this project by following their link or visit Glenrosa Journeys, a fellow blogger in My Town who has an extensive collection of pictures and information about the Valley of the Sunflowers project.

  2. Thanks! I was there Monday. I think it’s the last growing season as the cranes, etc. seem to be encroaching. I guess the whole plan all along was to get more business, etc. into downtown but I worry about the little galleries and small businesses that have done all the work getting downtown to be such a cool area and now we’ve got U of A, ASU, Cancer Centers, etc.coming in with big money. Can the little places co-exist with all that?
